La publicación surge en el marco de INDEX: Liberando el Archivo, una muestra colectiva permanente presentada en línea por Femgrafía desde 2023 a través de #FemgrafiaGallery. En este contexto, el libro funciona como una extensión material del archivo digital, trasladando la experiencia virtual al formato impreso.
El proyecto propone pensar el archivo como un territorio vivo, en constante relectura, donde la fotografía opera como herramienta de memoria, resistencia y reescritura colectiva.
Femgrafía, es una plataforma especializada en fotografía, en la difusión de obra y creación de contenido, para fotógrafas en Latinoamérica y España. Creada y dirigida por Karla Guerrero.
INDEX: Liberando el archivo is a collective publication that explores the transformative power of photography to challenge personal and collective narratives. Through both the exhibition and its catalog, the project amplifies the voices of 60 photographers from Latin America and Spain, creating a space of dialogue where documentary approaches intersect with visual experimentation.
The publication emerges from INDEX: Liberating the Archive, an ongoing collective exhibition presented online by Femgrafía since 2023 through #FemgrafiaGallery. In this context, the book operates as a material extension of the digital archive, translating a virtual exhibition into printed form.
