005: Síndrome de abstinencia explores the idea of “emotional anorexia” as a metaphor for affective deprivation and the difficulty of being nourished by healthy relationships. Through fragments, reflections, and conversations with an artificial intelligence, the zine addresses issues such as self-esteem, loneliness, the desire to be cared for, and the contradictions of trying to heal in a precarious world.
The text blends confession, irony, and experimentation, questioning the real scope of therapy, the limits of digital emotional support, and the impossibility of replacing human contact with automated responses. Between literary quotes and scattered thoughts, it sketches an intimate portrait of contemporary vulnerability: the longing for genuine connection in the face of persistent emptiness.
Rather than a guide to healing, this chapter is an act of searching—a conversation about learning to ask for help, caring for oneself with limited resources, and imagining new ways of sustaining each other.
