A través de la combinación de imágenes familiares y archivos fotográficos, la autora entreteje un relato profundamente personal y visual que da voz a mujeres que han decidido no ser madres, resguardando una mirada hacia la autonomía y la individualidad femenina.
El fotolibro presenta imágenes superpuestas, en blanco y negro con acentos de color, que transmiten una sensibilidad particular mientras reflejan las expectativas sociales sobre la maternidad. Las composiciones hablan de una memoria atravesada por ausencias, deseos y contradicciones. La exploración de la identidad personal de la autora construye un espacio que invita a quien mira a situarse en un acto reflexivo.
La edición e impresión fueron desarrolladas en risografía, técnica que aporta una materialidad específica y una textura visual singular. En este proyecto, el tratamiento de la imagen otorga un nuevo protagonismo a las personas retratadas en el archivo, reforzando el carácter íntimo y político del libro.
¿A dónde se fue el instinto? trasciende la experiencia individual para convertirse en un gesto de acompañamiento hacia las mujeres que nos preceden y hacia quienes, desde otros anhelos, cuestionan los discursos que han naturalizado la maternidad. Es una obra sensible y crítica que propone una reflexión sobre la autonomía, la elección y las múltiples formas de habitar lo femenino.

Through the combination of family photographs and archival images, the author weaves a deeply personal and visual narrative that gives space to women who have chosen not to have children, preserving a perspective rooted in autonomy and female individuality.
